How do you qualify for each?
You earn Premier 1K by reaching United's published PQP and PQF thresholds for the year. Global Services has no published path. United invites members, usually from among its highest-revenue Premier 1K flyers.

Is chasing Global Services worth it?
Usually only if your travel already puts you close. Buying pricier fares just to chase an unpublished invitation is a gamble. It makes more sense to see where your current and booked travel is heading, then decide whether a few trips you'd take anyway could move you meaningfully closer.
